I know, I don't come on enjin as often as I should. I'm really sorry. And I miss you all a lot. How are things? Anything new? Cool projects? Me, not so much. Surviving a cold winter. On the plus side, it was a little warmer today. I've been on a site called wattpad where I like to read and write (some of my valentine contests can be seen by public there). I've only been to Minecraft every other week, but when I get back on it makes for a bit of fun. I'm not as into games as I once was. And now that I'm getting older, I'm looking into my future. So, not a whole lot.
Hope to talk with you guys soon. ~ Forever a friend, farm.
Out of all the stinking maps I could have gotten, from mountain ranges to rainbow hills, I got a pathetic little island with a few trees, a very big ocean, and a chance of a bigger island not far off. So, I'm going to give every minecrafter a challenge today.
You get an island, you make it the BEST DANG ISLAND ever built on! Good luck.
I wanted to stop in and check the place out, see how you guys are doing. I hope everything is alright, gaming, family, all that. I missed you all. Also, I'm sorry about the server. I should have put more effort into it, and more effort into keeping in touch. I've been struggling through life with everything else.
Winter has been cold and busy enough. More snow last night, and the warm week break ended quickly. It doesn't help the cold I got (again).
Writing some stories and reading a bunch of stories on wattpad, plus designing some covers and banners is all I've done on the computer lately. Maybe I'll play some Minecraft yet today, it sounds fun again. How about you guys, still playing?
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing great, and if you want to play or chat, I'll be around. God bless, and see you soon. ~ farm.
As of lately, obviously, I haven't been on the server (secretly ashamed of myself). Instead, I just spent the last two days hooked on an awesome story, Betrothed To Jack Frost by Alicat1901 on Wattpad.
The story pulls you in right away with an interesting prologue of our young main character, Elle Darrow. And in the present, at age 21, her world is suddenly turned upside down and then some as her best friend turns out to be her protector, a mad man made of ice tries to kill her, and she is transported to a far off kingdom where she is told she is the one meant to marry Jack Frost.
It is a tale of immortals, changing destiny, and finding true love, while finding out that she may actually be able to get use to being the new fire/ice queen.
However, for now, the last chapter (chapter 47) is on hold so that the talented author can get her life back together after some extreme weather destroyed [her] local area. Hopefully soon, we'll find out what the catch to our happy ending is, and we won't be too overcome with grief (because if she destroys the ending, I"M COMING FOR YOU, AUTHOR!).
Check it out at https://www.wattpad.com/user/Alycat1901/activity . And if you have any stories on Wattpad, be sure to share them with me in comments, I'll be ready to check them out!
Those with hearts that seek love, that give love freely, are often broken. A lot. But they also learn to heal. A life of love is hard, but not impossible. And it's better than living without love. No matter how hard it gets, choose love before and above anything else. Love is not a weakness, but a strength.
Hey guys! Christmas time. Sorry I haven't been around lately. And I have a funny thought. For the people in the world that don't believe in Jesus, Christmas just got a whole lot less fun. In fact, without Christ, there is no holiday season at all in December. If Jesus isn't real, and isn't God, then there is no Christmas, no Easter. Without faith in God and wanting to worship him freely, there would be no Thanksgiving, and no America. Think about it! Now that makes me thankful. Merry Christmas everyone!
Hundreds of years prior to today, the pilgrims and the native Americans celebrated the first Thanksgiving with foods like venison and corn. This was to give thanks for the food they so nearly didn't have. It was thanks to God, and to the native Americans that they were able to grow a plentiful crop to get them through the winter, and they enjoyed the fruits of their labor together that year.
Now, hundreds of years later, many Americans think of this day as a day for a large meal, all the foods they could ever wish for at one table, and as a holiday off with family. But, not everyone takes the time to be thankful for the things they have.
Today, hundreds of people go without homes, families, and food every day, and not just in America. They're the people we see on the streets. Some of them served our country honorably, and others raised a loving family, and most of them have lost everything. Yet, so many can live and survive and some actually be happy with what little they have, while we complain if we don't have that one part of Thanksgiving the way Grandma use to make it right.
Some day, I want to be able to help people like this. But for now, as children, we can never do as much as we might want. But what we can do is be thankful, pray for them, and encourage others to help, too. God Bless & Happy Holidays!
People say that darkness feels good. The freedom. The power. Not having to care who you hurt as long as you get what you want.
However, they really don't know what they're missing. Or what they will miss. They believe that darkness is good because it's easy to do wrong. And in a society like ours is becoming, it's easy to believe something isn't bad when a lot of others do it too, right?
The devil looks for our weaknesses, our longings, and uses them against us. When we fail once, we might think we can't go back, and therefore go forward with being dark. But we all have a way back through Jesus. He died so that we can live. So that we can have a life after death.
Evil is easy when we are sucked in by others doing it, or when we are raised to believe we don't have a choice, or when someone tries to teach us that it isn't bad at all. Killing, stealing, longing for things that aren't ours, lying, these are all sins. Each sin is just as bad as the other.
But life is so much better when we trust in God. Life is better trying our hardest to be good, even if it's hard. It's also more rewarding doing our best to have a relationship with Jesus.
And to those fighting the darkness, or wanting to try, look to the light. Look to the good. You are not alone in your struggles. You are not better off in the dark. And we are here for you, struggling along side you, fighting to spread the word of God, and the love everyone deserves, to all.
