Congratulations on your recent 2/13 Heroic Mode accomplishment in World of Warcraft! How did Solus Verum get started?

We’re primarily a 10 man raiding guild. Solus Verum was a bank guild in 2008 and grabbed a few players that I knew. During the summer of 2009 is when we really started the push for raids. The 3 hour and 3 night a week schedule is what works best for us! Members are encouraged not to plan their lives around raid nights but I’m happy we’re able to progress at the rate we’re going with the players and their dedication.

What drew you to Enjin?

Word of mouth mostly. I kept seeing guilds with enjin.com appear in our trade chat and other recruiting channels. I also found out that one of the top guilds on our realm used Enjin. I saw their site and it loaded up incredibly fast and the modules looked slick. I thought to myself "Okay, I’m going to take an hour and play around with Enjin” and those hours turned into an entire weekend.

Our previous guild host was acquired by a different company. Their customer service and support was lacking after that. Everything felt extremely clunky. The product was great before but we weren’t satisfied with it any longer and when we made the switch to Enjin, we never looked back.

How was the site layout determined?

We held a contest to determine the look of the site. There were multiple rounds and people voted through them until we narrowed it down to one winner! Not only did his look become finalized, we awarded 3000 gold for his efforts. Congrats Kolte!

What are your guild ambitions?

I wanted to clear 12/12 before 4.1. We pulled that off. Our next goal is to get at least 8 heroic modes before 4.2. In addition to having fun, these are the things I want to do. Effective time management is our main thing.

What’s the general guild atmosphere like?

Everyone’s always harassing the GM whether it be in raid or out of raid. Most of our raiders are between 23-27 and we try to maintain an age minimum of at least 21 years. There’s lots of joking around and on trash. We don’t dog anyone or go after them. It just ruins the overall atmosphere. I want it so that when people think <Solus Verum>, that we’re a professional guild. If you make the guild look bad, you’re gone. We’re tactical in our approach and feedback.
We treat the site as a communication hub and it’s a great way for our players to get in touch with each other quickly. It’s a tool for the guys to quickly check out different resources like addons or logs. It helps us so much.

If you had the opportunity to add one feature, what would it be?

I can’t think of anything right now. Enjin’s customization is ridiculously easy and it does what we need it to do.
