We'd like to talk to you about a new community
that we’re very excited about! It is being built around "0x10c", a
sci-fi MMO in the works by development legend Notch (Founder of Mojang,
and creator of the incredibly popular independent sandbox adventure
game, Minecraft). This game aims to be very ambitious: details include
vast environments, ship design and engineering, and a fully functional,
programmable 16 bit computer (The DCPU-16)! This ambition is only
matched by the community
that has sprouted up since the game's first announcement a week ago.
We're already several thousand users strong, and have had hundreds of
thousands of visits.
Enjin has always been a "by gamers, for gamers" organization. In an effort to keep this a part of our core, we've been working around the clock the last week to meet the many challenges associated with supporting a community of such a large scope. These efforts have not been a waste, however!
A mere few days after announcing the development of 0x10c, Notch linked to us on both his Twitter and on the game's official site www.0x10c.com.
Furthermore, the challenges of supporting an entire MMO forum have given us a lot of inspiration for the development of new tools and modules that the whole Enjin community will be able to take advantage of. (Stay tuned for new features!)
