It's not very often we see a Warhammer 40000: Space Marine clan on Enjin. Glad to see that you've decided to use us as your host. What drew you and your clan to the game?
For anyone who is familiar with the Warhammer IP they know it holds tons of information, stories, and history. When I heard the announcement that Vigil/Relic would be doing not only a 3rd person Space Marine game but an MMO based in the 40K IP I started instantly thought that making a Chapter (Guild) for the games would be a great idea. We are all massive fans of the Warhammer franchise. We own books, models, paintings, posters and of course, the games! The announcement of Space Marine and Dark Millennium online was a perfect beginning for us.
Tell us more about the theme behind Vigila Mortis. Who came up with it and what inspired it? How was the header developed?
The Warhammer 40k universe is brutal and full of violence, you wouldn't catch a romantics champagne dinner on the beach, just decapitated Ork heads for lunch. I wanted to reflect this within the theme of the site, the Imperium of Man is an industrial giant, it has countless planets just for forging it war weapons so the steel and industrial look really suited our theme. The banner is the main eye opener on the site, again I went with the dark and violent theme of the Warhammer 40k universe, I wanted fans of Warhammer to come to the site and instantly recognize who we were instantly. I have to give a big thanks to my fellow Enjin member Muggs because without him the banner couldn't exist.
What attracted you to using Enjin as a platform for your community?
Where do I start? I've tried lots of site builders and guild building sites before and nothing comes close. The ease of use is mind blowing. I have no previous history with web design so for me using the theme editor and the great supply of modules was fantastic. Also the community seems great. I post on the forums about problems or help and people respond and do their best to really help you get the most out of your site.
As the game has not been released yet, what support would you like to see from Enjin in regards to Warhammer and Dark Millennium Online?
Well I would really like to see is some kind of Rank/Award page for members, maybe some signatures like the TOR ones.
Featured Friday has returned! Every week, we scour the greater Enjin community in search of outstanding guilds and clans. Have a special or unique community? Want to get featured? Drop us a line and tell us why!
