Regret Gaming is a UK based World of Warcaft hardcore raiding community situated on the Alliance side of the realm of Grim Batol, EU. Originally a competitive Counter Strike 1.6 team, Regret made the transition over to WoW in early 2005, with the game now being considered an almost permanent home for much of the community.

It’s fair to say that Regret take their PvE progression seriously. Most their goals and objectives are centered around raiding in particular, with an ambitious current goal of becoming a top 5 ranked guild on their server.

To achieve this, they want players – dedicated players! This doesn’t mean you have to to live and breathe pixels, but it does mean you need to be focused on giving your 100% to raiding when required.  ‘Hardcore raiding, casual hours’ is a philosophy which Regret has stuck to over the course of its many games, and a philosophy which has helped them build a successful and loyal core of members.  Regret are out to achieve more, with less, and their past achievements show just that, having even had a world first in all Tier 1 - 16 man Nightmare mode raiding in SWTOR.

Right now, after a small break between games, Regret are looking to achieve similar standings in WoW, and are recruiting most classes to fill their core raiding team for all 10man content this tier.

Regret have opted for an exceptionally dark and bold WoW based theme, alongside a whole array of custom features and cool subtle tweaks! The Regret team have done a fantastic job of keeping everything about the design consistent, with every page seemingly more impressive than the last.

We particularly like the colour scheme and the contrast between certain design elements. The navigation menu, for example, is super smooth to use, and also makes a big visual impact against the much darker backdrop.

Around the menu system, Regret have in place a professional and gritty header and background design, which wastes no time telling you who they are and what they do!

The guild’s module arrangement reflects its appetite for raiding, making sure that onlookers see, first and foremost, what is considered most important. Raiding news, highlights, statistics, videos, and recruitment information all take center stage. This is a raiding guild, and Regret want to make that clear at every turn!

Winds of Winter is a Minecraft based gaming community centered around the incredibly popular fantasy novels created by George R. R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire, and TV adaption, Game of Thrones.  The server attempts to bring players into a realistic simulation of the continent of Westeros, giving lore-junkies a chance to re-enact their favourite aspects of the series within Minecraft’s great sandbox setting.

As fans of the franchise will be aware, Westeros is a continent devastated by the constant scarring and conflicts involving bloodlines, and their struggle to gain control over the land.  In an attempt to recreate such a world, Winds of Winter have employed a large number of custom features and plug-ins on their server, all of which are developed by a team of Java programmers, specialising in Bukkit.

The first major feature is the ability to actively interact with NPC’s in exchange for quests and rewards. The second, a realistic morality system, which allows players to gather good or bad reputation dependent on their choices and actions around others in-game.  The final, and what Winds of Winter feel is their grandest feature, is the players active involvement in one of the servers many factions, the Bloodlines. These Bloodlines are essentially bands of like-minded players, working together in a bid to control the land of Westeros, while destroying other factions!

Away from the battlefields of Westeros, deep within the Spiders Den, project leader and community owner Ratkoon, shared a few quiet words about the universe he had so forebodingly created -

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Ratkoon: I was introduced to gaming like any boy or girl of the 90’s, playing playstation and N64. The real addiction to gaming started when I played starcraft for the first time. "Showmethemoney” was the fastest thing I could type until I was about 12 years old. From there I got to experience gaming’s evolution with the rest of the wired generation playing titles like Half life 2, World of Warcraft, Doom 3, and all the other iconic games still talked about to this day. From lan parties playing diablo 3, to 30 hours in a man cave playing the latest bethesda title my gaming experience has shaped my life.

Q: Can you explain to people who may not be too familiar with Game of Thrones, or even Minecraft, what your community is all about? What are you trying to achieve?

Q: Can you give us some insight into some of cool features your site provides it's members?

Name: Xe Combat Force

Xe Combat Force (XeC), previously known as Misunderstood (MiSu) Gaming, is a PS3/PC based online gaming project founded by current leader, Andopro, and aimed at both the casual and competitive gamer. What originated as a small Black Ops gaming team on the PlayStation 3 network, has now evolved into a large and varied gaming community, with growing involvement in a huge number of titles and genres!

With that being said, FPS games still remain a dominant focus of the community, with Battlefield 3 being XeC’s most active and successful gaming division to date. Other more casually played FPS games include Arma 2, Bad Company 2, and Black Ops II.

It’s safe to say that XeC have a very experienced FPS roster, but being an ambitious community as they are, the decision has now been made to develop new divisions in games such as League of Legends, EVE Online, and upcoming MMORPG, Elder Scrolls Online.

This is fairly new territory for XeC, but territory they’re confident they can make a successful part of their gaming universe. Most these games are only in ‘start up’ phase and XeC are now actively looking for players to help take them into the next gaming chapter!

Founder and long-time leader of XeC, Andropro_, was kind enough to answer a few of my questions during our usual interview segment –

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Andropro_: I started off gaming on a Sega Genesis. But, I didn't really get into Online Gaming until I was about 14 years old on a PC game called Warrock, my first FPS.

Q: Can you give us some insight into Xe Combat Force's history? How did this ambitious gaming project begin?

Q: I can see that you guys play a variety of games, but are there any titles in particular you focus on?

Andropro_: I honestly believe the module that would help Xe Combat Force and many other community sites would be a point system module. Allowing site admins to create achievements, etc. that can be rewarded with points. & then the points could be be used to buy shop items and stuff.

Enjin truly is a designers playground, with Xe Combat Force showing exactly what can be pulled off if you know your stuff. If you're currently on the look out for an ambitious and flashy PS3/PC gaming community, don't hesitate to send in an application into XeC today!

Founded in 2009, Instant Death Squad (IDS) Gaming is a large Xbox-360 gaming community, with a particular focus on competitive team-based FPS titles, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Battlefield 3, and Halo 4.

The community itself has undergone numerous changes since its inception, developing from a small lobby-based group of friends to an intricate and successful console gaming network, with an ambitiously large amount of goals and players alike.

An objective of IDS Gaming is to create a highly stable and structured environment, one in which competition can be enjoyed without all the usual drama that typically follows.  With that said, throughout the communities development process, not all changes to IDS were considered positive, with the frequent ‘shuffling’ of clan leadership being of particular concern to members.

It was because of this that IDS made the decision to break free of the customary ‘leader’ based role, and form a community wide council, spreading decision making throughout the core ranks. Since this structure has been implemented, IDS has gone from strength to strength, growing in both player numbers and community supported titles – including also a small LoL PC based division!

So, if you’re currently looking for a structured but highly social Xbox based community, without all the drama in-between, this is where you need to be!

The community owner of IDS, Mr Obseen, and lead website developer, AT SLAYER, were kind enough to answer a few of my questions in the form of our weekly interview segment –

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Mr Obseen: I started with the Sega Mega Drive II back in the 90's. Road Rash and Sonic were my games of choice.

After the Playstation 2 my interest in gaming trailed off until 2008 when I picked up the Xbox 360 and my first game was Call of Duty 4, this was were I was introduced to online gaming and clans.

Q: Can you give us some insight into Instant Death Squad's history? How did the project begin?

Q: I can see that you guys play a variety of games, but are there any titles in particular you focus on?

Q: And finally, if you could request one feature/module to be added to Enjin, what would it be? 

AT SLAYER: FTP access or a multi-file upload feature. Many web projects are simply not possible without this functionality.

Genesis is an established, highly successful World of Warcraft based gaming community residing on the realm of Silvermoon, EU.  What began as a small project created by a few like minded friends in 2006, has since become a large and ambitious gaming network, placing strong emphasis on the heroic raiding aspect of gameplay

A primary objective of Genesis is to create a competitive, yet laid back gaming environment for its players to have fun, socialise, and improve their raiding skills. Clearing game content in good time is vitally important to any guild working for top ranked progression, and Genesis do their best to achieve this without the usual pressure and stress that can so easily deduct from the fun factor. Setting realistic targets, and remaining highly organized with their time restricted raid schedules, has allowed Genesis to be able to maintain a good in-game balance, with them now comfortably sitting at #1 spot in the 25m raiding bracket of their server!

Being a close-knit team, and in an attempt to preserve a relaxed atmosphere, there are no overly complex rules or guidelines in play; all they ask is that players be respectful, interact with others, and have a keen drive for progression! It doesn’t matter if you’re a fresh new player, or a hardened veteran, as Genesis look past this at the individual. Putting effort into your application and making a good first impression is a key factor to being accepted – so make yours count!

Making a great first impression goes both ways, and Genesis has made sure that their website leaves a lasting impression on any potential applicant. Their design is incredibly functional, stylish, and professional, providing everything a raider could want and more!

When visiting their homepage you’re greeted by a superb image slideshow, which doesn’t waste any time in showing off the guilds achievements in epic style! Each picture links back to its relevant news article, and the presentation overall is top notch!

Alongside, Genesis has implemented a super clean navigation menu and custom guild header, with some fantastic interactive elements included. Smooth menu pop-out and some cursor responsive character models are just some of the great creative tweaks on show ! Check it all out here!

Earlier in the week I met up with community owner of Genesis, Enlightened, to get some insight into his guilds history, their current goals, and also their plans for the future –

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Enlightened: Well, the first game that I remember buying was Starcraft(great start innit) at the tender age of 9. By 15 I was sort of a semi-pro at it. I did enjoy the occasional RPG, mainly Diablo II, Dark Age of Camelot & EVE online but then WoW came along and I haven’t really looked back since, as far as gaming goes at least! On my leisure time, I do enjoy some Diablo III, League of Legends with guild mates, Ghost Recon Online or various, single-player, strategy games still.

Q: Can you give us some insight into the history of Genesis? How did the project begin?

Q: What are Genesis' current goals in WoW ? And what do you aim to achieve in future?

Q: And finally, if you could request one feature/module to be added to Enjin, what would it be? 

Enlightened: I would say we are pretty happy with the functionality provided by modules; one idea would be dedicated Stream modules though, as getting the HTML code from popular live streaming sites, such as Twitch f.ex., while easy can be quite dodgy to have it display properly.
A feature I would love to see personally, as an IT professional, would be more up-to-date support of java based web technologies from Enjin’s part. I know we ran into quite a few hiccups ourselves while building the website. HTML 5 is the future and I think we can all agree that a move towards more context-rich code, will result into more aesthetically pleasing as well as functioning websites.

With WoW’s new heroic raiding content out this week, and a few new team spots opening up, there couldn't be a better time to send an application into one of the most successful, but remarkably laid back, guilds out there!

Jane Doe prides itself on the social aspects of gaming, and is constantly looking for new ways to grow and add new experiences for its members. A diverse range of new and old content is covered through its six main WoW community teams, including oldskool raids, rated battlegrounds, and brand new Mists of Pandaria raiding.

In order to maintain a quality social atmosphere within a guild, the guild itself needs social members. Jane Doe are actively looking for like minded players to fill its gaming ranks, add to its lively social side,  and ultimately help move the collective into its next new online chapter!

One custom aspect we really love can be found on one of their many team pages, with each of their individual team’s information displayed through a cool tool set up by one of their guild members. This application allows the raid leaders of Jane Doe an easy and quick interface to update their rosters and team details using the wowcup.com system. It also shows raid times, raid progression, and even recruitment status! Check it out here!

I caught up with community owner of Jane Doe, Mr Wonka, for a quick chat about his guild, their goals, and everything in between –

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Mr Wonka: If I start at the beginning then it's playing a shareware version of Duke Nukem on my dads PC. It was a 286 and ran DOS so not only was it slow but I had to type archaic commands in to get it to do anything. I had a hand-me-down Atari 2600 as well and routinely played far too much Defender II. After Duke Nukem and Defender I moved onto a Pentium with Mech Warrior 2 and its expansions and still have incredibly vivid memories of their opening credit sequences.

From there it's been PC gaming pretty much all the way. 4 years ago I got into MMO's with WoW being the first. I've tried Rift and LOTRO and some others but kept coming back to WoW - in the lead up to Mists of Pandaria's release Guild Wars 2 appeared and that was when the leadership of Jane Doe decided we should give it a shot as a multi-game community.

Q: Can you give us some insight into Jane Doe's history? How did the project begin?

Q: What are Jane Doe's current goals as a community?

Mr Wonka: Because we run a number of independently managed teams within the WoW guild we've attempted to make use of the Teams functionality that's available. We found that it just isn't flexible enough with permissions (or easy enough to use) to allow the team leaders to edit their rosters. Consequently we worked around this by pulling data from a website created by one of our members and generating our own roster pages. This made it very easy to provide a rich roster page that was easily updated. If Enjin could provide this kind of rich game roster with an easy to use (and permissions orientated) interface we could have a more responsive experience.

Formed in connection with the Halo series’ growing popularity and e-sport presence, ambitious online gaming community, NavCom, is an attempt to establish a truly globalized Halo network, with structured divisions, competitive matches, rich lore, and community contests alike.

NavCom, however, is as much as social hub as it is a gaming community. Social interaction is a key element of NavCom’s charter, and they believe that creating strong social bonds is an essential part of growth and success. Making friends, sharing knowledge, and just general chit-chat are all actively encouraged among the ranks.

Maintaining such a peaceful social structure can be a lot of work, and so the team of NavCom have created a set of easy to understand and follow rules, which it hopes all members of the community can abide.

As you may have guessed, Halo is a massive part of both NavCom’s history, as well as its current gaming structure. And they’re now looking for more fans of the series to join and become an integral part of the community’s next unfolding chapter in the Halo universe!

NavCom’s design and layout draws strong inspiration from the Halo franchise and its lore, with the entire website having a very futuristic and hi-tech feel to it.

An amazingly stylish splash screen sets the scene when first visiting, giving just a taste of what’s to come.

NavCom have made great use of modules and structure, and we can tell a lot of work has gone into the general streamlining of content. Their professional Halo inspired logo and menu combination work great alongside the space themed background, while a hefty amount of custom content allows the site to stand out from the crowd.

On the front page we can see a super slick and custom image slider, showcasing some of the community’s events and news headlines in eye catching fashion!

Nice use of CSS has allowed NavCom to mix up the general layout of their pages, too.  Adding custom fonts, images, and breaks has given many of their sections a unique look and style, such as their careers page!

Some of the most impressive website aspects (We feel) can be associated with their community division pages. Each one, Spartan, Spartan II, Spartan III, Spartan IV, Navel Fleet, OSDT, and Marines are set up to an amazing standard. These individual pages include custom imagery, extensive history/lore, and convenient links to each of the programs themselves!

I caught up with talented community owner and leader of NavCom, Jenkins, earlier in the week for a chat about his ambitious and fast expanding project -

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Jenkins: I didn't get started in gaming until 2000 when I purchased a Namco Pac-Man Arcade Machine. After realizing later after countless months spent attempting to beat a game I would never be good at, I looked elsewhere into what Video Game Franchises had to offer at the time. I ranged from a Nintendo, to Sony Playstation, and finally settled on one of the most commonly known video game consoles; Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in 2007 (A tad late to the party, but better late than never). The game I played first? Halo 3 of course. After becoming situated to the first person shooter, everything else that followed only seemed natural.

Q: Tell us a bit about your community! What games does NavCom focus on? And also what are your current goals as a clan?

Q: How'd you come up with the name 'NavCom'?

Q: And finally, if you could request one feature/module to be added to Enjin, what would it be? 

Jenkins: Simply put; the ability to customize system pages such as user profiles would be brilliant!

Name: Society of Gaming Engineers (SOGE)

The Society of Gaming Engineers (‘SOGE’ for short) is an online gaming community originally formed with the intention of bringing together aspiring engineering students from across the world to play games, socialize and share knowledge. Over the past few years however, the project scope has broadened, with the community’s doors now being open to almost any player imaginable.

The community itself currently play a large variety of games, across an even larger range of genres.  Popular games such as Minecraft, Guild Wars 2, and League of Legends are supported, alongside more niche titles, such as World of warplanes, and Age of Empires III. Their gaming divisions are constantly expanding too, with new games added on a frequent basis!

In regards to community, creating an enjoyable and drama free atmosphere is of the utmost important to SOGE, and their guidelines strongly reflect this fact. Outlined are all the do’s and don’ts you need to be aware of, as well as general information to get you started and settled among the engineers. 

As long as these guidelines are adhered, and you feel you meet the outlined criteria, Engineer or not, drop an application into the society today!

Community administrator, and one of the founding members of SOGE, Jouten, was kind enough to give us some insight into his community, their goals, and how this cool project came about -

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Jouten: Oh Lord...where to start. The oldest visual proof of me playing games was when I was in Japan. I wasn't even a year old and I was walking around with a GameBoy in my hand trying to figure out what was going on in Qix. There was even a video of me slapping the controller off my mom's hand when she was playing Super Mario 2. However, I guess I started taking it seriously with Final Fantasy II (IV) when I was four, or at least that was when I started to understand what was going on. Since I moved around a lot, about once a year until I was thirteen, the fastest way I could make friends was if I was the encyclopedia for whatever game that came out. Every school I went to I was known as the guy who knew the secrets that RPG or who could come over and get you past a certain level on a platformer. Also, I didn't realize it until later, but I was somehow an Ultima IV kid. That game almost embedded virtues into your head which I guess was a good parenting tool.

Q: Can you give us some insight into SOGE's history? How did this unique gaming project begin?

Q: I can see that you guys play a variety of games, but are there any titles in particular you focus on?

Q: And finally, if you could request one feature/module to be added to Enjin, what would it be? 

Jouten: It's something minor and there may already be a workaround (asked on the design forum but didn't get a reply), but have a Home Button on your navigation bar be an image with no text. If you take a look at SOGE, you can see a logo just left of the home button. I wish I could just make that the home button with it's own hover image. And maybe multiple styles of the Showcase module. Oh wait! Maybe a way to display the LIST of news ON the showcase itself! Kind of like how IGN does there's. Oh lawdy the articles we'd be writing.... Other than that I have no real gripes.

Founded in September 2012 by members Abertix and Bradderz, Eternal Overwatch is a gaming community based on the principles of equality, respect and friendship.

Since its inception, the project has grown exponentially in both numbers and geographic diversity; evolving from a small two-man team, to a true multinational gaming network.

Eternal Overwatch quite literally have players from all across the globe, and while spearheaded by both Abertix and Bradderz, want to expand even further, offering members a gaming environment without judgement, drama or the usual negative aspects that can so heavily influence a player’s gaming experience.

With such a diverse range of players, comes an equally diverse range of games. Eternal Overwatch isn’t an exception to this rule, and currently host and manage several constantly expanding divisions in many popular titles, including Guild Wars 2, League of Legends, and Platnetside 2.

Recruitment wise, the doors of Eternal Overwatch are wide open, and with a constantly updated list of gaming divisions, even if your game isn’t currently listed, there’s a good chance it will be soon enough!

One of the co-founders of Eternal Overwatch, Abertix, was able to answer a few of my usual interview questions for you guys when I caught him for an interview earlier in the week-

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Abertix: Unlike most people, I actually didn't get started in gaming until I was in my teens. The game that I got hooked into was World of Warcraft. I made a lot of friends and memories there, and it's helped me in some ways. For example, I got my start as a Guild Leader in there, and it's helped me transfer that experience to this community.

Q: Tell us a bit about your community! What games does Eternal Overwatch focus on? And also what are your current goals as a clan?

Q: How did you guys come up with the name 'Eternal Overwatch'?

Q: And finally, if you could request one feature/module to be added to Enjin, what would it be? 

Abertix: I'm not sure if I just couldn't find this somewhere, but this relates to module permissions. When you're setting up module permissions a way to add all "tagged" users to that module's permission. I see "un-tagged" users as an option, but not "tagged", and I think that would be great.

Other than that, Enjin has been really great, and it has a lot of versatility and features that truly make it stand out. I'd also like to say thanks for featuring our website! Thanks everyone!

Sleepthief is a laid back, highly social online gaming community, currently gearing up for the release of up-coming MMORPG, Lime Odyssey. 

Aimed at both the causal and competitive player, Sleepthief’s main objective is to create a welcoming, family orientated environment for its members to socialize, hone their skills, and more importantly, have as much fun as physically possible!

To achieve this goal, Sleepthief have a simple set of rules and guidelines in place which it asks all its members to follow.  Being respectful, mature, and friendly are qualities which go without saying, and they’re constantly on the lookout for members who share these characteristics to help their fairly new social circle expand and develop.

And they’re not just looking for in-game guild members, either! Sleepthief is a community based on friendship, and so if you’re simply looking for a quirky bunch of folk to hang out with outside the world of gaming, you could easily find yourself lost in the dreamworld of Sleepthief!

Drawing inspiration from Japanese mythology, mythological creatures, and the very concepts of dreams and sleep, the design of Sleepthief will have you pinching yourself to check if you’re awake!

Whitenuts has created a theme which shines quality on every page, with an undeniable charm to it which will have you never wanting to leave. 

An attractive color scheme, custom fonts, mesmerizing patterns, and a great logo and menu system all come together to form this truly unique website.

Building on the theme of Japanese mythology, Sleepthief have also implemented a ranking structure based on the very spirits and creatures of folklore. Check out their creative approach to member rankings by reading up on the ranks of, Kitsune, Oni, and Nue!

In regards to community activity, the vast majority of updates can be found on both their home and forum pages, however they also have a great little chat room and a growing roster page, both of which I’m sure will be packed when Lime Odessey is released in the near future!

I caught up with both the community owner of Sleepthief, EbonyPiano, and also the community designer, whitenuts, for a quick chat -

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

EbonyPiano: I started by playing Grand Fantasia last year as a senior in high school. I had never tried gaming before then but found that it was something that I could do for fun that would relax me and take my mind off homework and I made great friends all over the world that I'm still in contact with.

whitenuts: I got my first video-game (a SEGA Mega-Drive) back in 1990 and never stopped gaming from there. As far as online games go, my first MMORPG was Ragnarok Online back in the early 2000s.

Q: Tell us a bit about your community! How did the project begin? And what are your goals for the future?

Q: How did you guys come up with the name 'Sleepthief'?

Q: Would you like to share any awesome design tips with newbie site designers?

whitenuts: There are two things that could be help people who are starting. The first is that they should keep up. A lot of people get depressed about the stuff they made when they are starting (I've been there) and end up giving up on it, but persevering through that phase is the only way to adquire the skills and the design eye needed. The second is trying to think outside the box. Specially on a system that doesn't grant you full control over your source code, like Enjin, thinking outside the box and coming up with some unusual solutions is crucial to make some of your ideas come to life.

Q: And finally, if you could request one feature/module to be added to Enjin, what would it be? 

whitenuts: There are quite a few that could help. One that I hear is already in the works is a Raidcall module. But other than that, having Modules related to Lime Odyssey once it goes live would be awesome.

Fear the Wolf Gaming (FTWG) is a highly competitive Xbox 360 gaming team, focused primarily on popular FPS titles such as Modern Warfare 3, Halo 3 and Gears Of war 3.

The mission of FTWG is to create a social gaming environment for competitive console players to meet, share knowledge and organize matches against other clans and teams.  Becoming a better player and honing your skills is what being a competitive team is all about, and FTWG attempts to achieve this by keeping it's active team as knit-tight as possible, with recruitment limited only to those who share a very similar attitude and drive for success as the already established core.

Maintaining such a competitive environment can be troublesome, and so FTWG’s has in place an extensive code of conduct to reflect this fact. Respecting the community, keeping a mature attitude in-game and out, and providing input is what this community likes to see!  They believe a member’s feedback is essential to the communities continued success, and so therefore encourage members to speak out and give their opinion whenever they can!

Fear the Wolf Gaming showcases a professional and highly unique site aesthetic. The overall theme feels slick and sophisticated, while the bold logo and module images bring an added ‘kick’ to the design.  

On the front page we can see a great little music player application for seamless listening, a ‘Predator of the Month’ community spotlight and some nicely designed social networking icons!

FTWG has tried to keep their pages clean and simple, not overcrowding with modules. We feel this works great with the theme, and it shows on the rest of their pages, too!

I caught up with the current leader of Fear the Wolf , PureHatred, who was able to answer some of my usual interview questions for you guys-

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

A) I've always had an interest in video games but the big leap into them was when I started playing Halo 3 in the barracks with all my buddies and we'd stay up all night playing Halo and Call of Duty 4 getting hammered.

Q: I can see that Fear the Wolf play a variety of games, but are there any titles in particular you focus on?

A) Our goal here at FTWG is to be one of the best gaming clans on the COD series. We have a great group of people in our team and so it makes it easy for all of us to get along and play well together. We want to make people better and alot of our guys who struggled at first are now running and gunning with some of the best. That's our goal, teamwork... and to beat everyone we come across whether it be in pub matches or competitive play lol

Q: Are you guys recruiting new members? Any criteria a person needs to meet to be able join?

A) No, we tried to run a gaming community but unfortunately it didn't work so we cut down our members and became a team. We're open to adding people but we'd really have to get to know you and spend alot of time playing with you. The guys we have with us now have all been playing together for a year or more.

Q: Any advice you'd like give to a newcomer looking to start a gaming community such as yours?

Q: Would you like to share any awesome design tips with newbie site designers?

A) Hahaha well as much as I'd like to take credit for our awesome site, it was not done by any of us. We hired some outside guys (LifeBiDesign, you can check out there link on our home page) to do it because none of us really have any graphic design experience. If you're just starting out, use what Enjin has to offer till you get more members and website hits. Once your site starts getting more popular, then you should be worrying about upgrading the site.

Q: And finally, if you could request one feature/module to be added to Enjin, what would it be? 

A) This is an easy one, a full blown easy to use mobile app for all phones. I really hate that there isn't an app, especially for how popular Enjin is. I think this would definitely benefit our site because more people would be using it and I think it would be the same for a lot of other Enjin sites. I believe in you Enjin so let's make it happen!

Meet MOG (Multiplayer Online Games) Nation - an international PC based multi-gaming community, and also official sister community to podcast, MOG Radio.

Formed through a collaborative effort of SWTOR guilds, Old Republic Dads and The First Order, MOG Nation has since become a large and varied gaming network, with active divisions in a constantly updated list of past and current gen titles.

Player freedom has always been an important aspect of MOG’s charter, and they strongly believe in a laid back ‘choose what you want to play, when you want t play it’ approach to gaming. They have always encouraged players to keep a very open mind in turns of schedules, and this in turn has allowed MOG to accommodate the gaming requirements of working professionals, families and more casual players.

It’s all very wintery and festive at over MOG Nation! JB (MOG’s designer) has done an amazing job of transforming MOG’s standard theme into something special for the Holidays.

Q: How'd you get started in gaming?

Jinx: Gaming for me started with the Atari 2600. I used to play Pitfall and River Raid for hours on end. Hard to believe that the palm of my right hand isn't permanently scarred and disfigured from that Atari joystick.

Q: Can you give us some insight into what MOG Nation is all about? How did the project begin?

Jinx: At MOG Nation, we are dedicated to building a community around these concepts:

• Players with a mutual respect for each other
• Having an open mind to the schedules of working professionals and parents
• Encompassing a wide range of play styles from Hardcore to Casual
• Players interested in ALL aspects of MMO game play from PvP to PvE to Crafting and Exploration
• Players not afraid to branch out and try many different games
• Community members that want to engage in productive discussions about the gaming industry.

MOG Nation began about 8 months ago with a group of us who were playing SWTOR. We noticed many of our friends were leaving our SWTOR guilds to play other games. The thought was, "Why should we all be separated just because we want to play the new shiny games that come out?" So our community leader, Kash, got a bunch of podcasters and leaders from various SWTOR guilds together and MOG Nation was born. We now span 7+ guilds across multiple MMO's and other online genres. We also produce several podcasts including Sunny's Diner, The Siege, Old Republic Radio and our community news podcast One Nation. As you can see, it's been a busy first year, and we're just getting started.

Q:  I can see that you guys play a variety of games, but are there any titles in particular you currently focus on?

Jinx: We currently have official chapters in 3 games: SWTOR, GW2 and WarZ. We also have what we call Gamebreakers. These are games our community is actively playing; however we haven't as of yet committed to forming a chapter for them. Gamebreakers allow our members to "pop-in, pop-out" of games they maybe just want to take a look at, and still have people to play with when they do. Some of these include: EVE, Minecraft and Planetside 2.

Q: Are you guys recruiting new members? Any criteria a person needs to meet to be able join?

Jinx: MOG Nation is absolutely recruiting new members. First and foremost, in order to join, you must be willing to have fun. Easy enough, right? Also, as many of our members are career-minded adults and/or parents, we ask that you are mature and courteous to your fellow gamer. MOGers come in all different types. While we certainly have many of what you'd call "hard core" members, we also have many who have a "casual" attitude towards gaming. This is a no-pressure environment where you can play how you want and what you want.

Q: Would you like to share any awesome design tips with newbie site designers?

JB: Get comfortable with the Theme Editor. This should be one of your main priorities when wanting to take your site to the next level. Learning what each part of the puzzle does and how you can manipulate it will benefit you in the long run. Never be afraid to look at other designs for ideas, but make something unique that fits what you are doing. And lastly, think outside the "module box". Think of what you want to do regardless of how big a project it is, and do it with the best quality you can produce.

Q: And finally, if you could request one feature/module to be added to Enjin, what would it be? 

JB: A customizable news ticker would be fantastic. Giving the user the option to have running text or images, and to link those to specific URLs. Oh the possibilities!!

We’ve seen some truly special designs throughout 2012, and with such an amazing list of communities already showcased, does 2013 have any hopes of topping it? We’ll have to just wait and find out!
