We'd like to talk to you about a new community that we’re very excited about! It is being built around "0x10c", a sci-fi MMO in the works by development legend Notch (Founder of Mojang, and creator of the incredibly popular independent sandbox adventure game, Minecraft). This game aims to be very ambitious: details include vast environments, ship design and engineering, and a fully functional, programmable 16 bit computer (The DCPU-16)! This ambition is only matched by the community that has sprouted up since the game's first announcement a week ago. We're already several thousand users strong, and have had hundreds of thousands of visits.




Enjin has always been a "by gamers, for gamers" organization. In an effort to keep this a part of our core, we've been working around the clock the last week to meet the many challenges associated with supporting a community of such a large scope. These efforts have not been a waste, however!

A mere few days after announcing the development of 0x10c, Notch linked to us on both his Twitter and on the game's official site www.0x10c.com.



Furthermore, the challenges of supporting an entire MMO forum have given us a lot of inspiration for the development of new tools and modules that the whole Enjin community will be able to take advantage of. (Stay tuned for new features!)

New Game & Character Settings!

First of all don’t panic! If you are wondering where the ‘Team’ tab went, it can be found under the Games tab for each respective game. So let’s get the good stuff going:

This is a new per game section packed with some important features, you can now set settings regarding how characters are added or forced on your website.



Character adding during sign up

• Set how new users are treated in regards to adding characters
• Force users to add characters or prompt them with various options
• Supports intelligent multi-gaming character prompts.

Force login Characters

• Auto-login users as their main character for a specific game
• Note: only 1 force login per game/server can be applied per website.

Send character adding requests to users

• Send requests to all users or specific tags of users
• Cancel requests anytime
• Find out how many users don’t have characters added
• Users will be prompted to add characters
• Force requests on users or let them skip
• Supports intelligent multi-gaming character prompts.

New Forums Features

We're adding plenty of new features to the forum module over the next few weeks, here are some now:

Forum post reports

• Forum reports will now automatically arrive in a new reports folder
• The reported posts will now be highlighted in red for quick moderation

Quote Improved

• Quote function improved. Quoting will now work with the quick post box
• Select a part of text and click quote button in the toolbar to automatically quote a portion of a post only.

Per Site Signature Settings

• As a user, you can now set to hide all signatures per website
• Set a custom signature per website
• The above settings can be found in Account Settings > Forum Signature

Enforce Signature Limits

• Per forum module you can now enable signature limits
• Set height and width limits
• Signatures that go above set limits will show up with scrollbars instead.
